An enhanced IBM keyboard printer, developed at IBM Japan's Fujisawa laboratory, now permits alphanumeric and katakana characters to be printed out in different sizes. Typical use is in automatic printing of large-character labels and tags in different languages for greater legibility to employees on assembly lines or in shipping departments.
